Transparent, Flat Pricing
No surprise charges. You know the cost before we start.
We come out, fully diagnose your appliance, and give you a complete repair quote on-site. The $75 is applied toward your repair cost if you approve the work — it's not an extra charge.
On-Site
After diagnosis, we give you one all-in price: parts and labor together. Complex jobs (compressor, sealed system) are separately quoted. No work starts without your explicit approval.
Leak Test
Refrigerant pricing depends on refrigerant type (R-134a, R-600a, R-410A, etc.) and charge weight. Leak detection and repair quoted separately. All refrigerant work is EPA 608 compliant.
/ Thermador
Premium brands involve higher parts costs and complexity. We'll always explain the quote before touching anything. These repairs are our specialty — we do them right.

Aleksei Koshkin
Owner & Lead Technician — the person who actually shows up.
I'm an independent appliance repair technician based in Carlsbad, CA. My specialty is the sealed refrigerant system — compressor replacement, leak detection and repair, and full refrigerant service. This is the work most shops won't take on because it requires EPA certification, the right equipment, and real experience.
I work on premium brands that many shops decline — Sub-Zero, Viking, and Thermador. Built-in refrigerators that cost $8,000–$15,000 new deserve a technician who knows the equipment and will tell you honestly whether the repair makes sense.
When you call, you're talking directly to me — the person who will be in your home doing the work. No call centers, no dispatchers. I'll give you a straight answer on what's wrong and what it costs.
Common Questions
Straight answers about what we do, how we price, and who we are.
Who repairs Sub-Zero, Viking, and Thermador refrigerators in North County San Diego?
Good Service Solutions Inc., based in Carlsbad, CA. Owner Aleksei Koshkin specializes in Sub-Zero, Viking, and Thermador — including sealed-system work and compressor replacement that most general shops decline. Service area covers Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, Encinitas, San Marcos, Escondido, and Del Mar.
Do you repair refrigerator sealed systems and replace compressors?
Yes — this is our primary specialty. We handle refrigerant leak detection and repair, EPA-compliant refrigerant recovery and recharge, full compressor replacement, and evaporator/condenser coil service. We hold EPA Section 608 Universal Certification, which is required by federal law for all refrigerant work.
How much does an appliance repair visit cost?
The service call fee is a flat $75. This covers the diagnostic visit — we come out, diagnose the problem completely, and give you a full repair quote on-site.
If you approve the repair, the $75 is applied toward your total cost. You're not paying an extra visit fee on top of parts and labor.
Do you give repair quotes over the phone?
No. Phone quotes sound helpful, but they're not honest. The same symptom — "refrigerator not cooling" — can have a dozen different causes: a dirty condenser coil ($0 to clean), a failed fan motor ($200), a defrost system problem ($350), a refrigerant leak ($400–$800), or a failed compressor ($1,200+). There's no way to know without looking.
The $75 service call fee gets you an accurate, no-obligation, on-site diagnosis. You'll know exactly what's wrong and exactly what it costs to fix — before any work starts.
What areas do you serve?
We serve all of North County San Diego: Carlsbad (home base), Oceanside, Vista, Encinitas, San Marcos, Escondido, and Del Mar. For locations outside this corridor, call (858) 225-5349 to check availability.
Do you offer same-day appliance repair?
Same-day and next-day appointments are often available depending on the schedule and part availability. Call (858) 225-5349 first thing in the morning for the best chance of a same-day visit.
Do you repair commercial refrigeration equipment?
Yes. We repair light commercial refrigeration — reach-in coolers, undercounter units, prep tables, and bar refrigeration. Sealed-system work is available on commercial units. Call to discuss your specific equipment before scheduling.
Are you licensed and certified?
Yes. Good Service Solutions holds EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (required by federal law for any refrigerant handling) and a California Contractor License. We are fully insured. You're welcome to ask to see credentials at the time of service.
